Creative Partnerships project with Shelley College, Kirklees, Jan-Feb 2009
Based in the school darkroom and art department, this 2-week residency explored the scope of photographic portraiture to express self-image and personal identity. Starting with drawn and cut out silhouettes, we progressed through silhouette photograms and blueprints to camera portraits using projected backgrounds.
A parallel project with the science department investigated the basics of optical imaging, using pinhole cameras and a giant camera obscura.
